Svea - 03/11/2021

Svea ate whole wheat English muffin and two servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and ate applesauce.   

First picture: Svea played at the Doll House first thing after breakfast. Basically waiting for Science with Lauralea to begin. You can read about the Science activities in Avi's Blog, but the theme was "our tongue" and "taste buds." Lots of tasting today! Svea said she "loved the lemon juice!!" So now you know. Haha.

Next picture: The kids were gathered around Svea to see the bandaid I put on her foot. A small spot of blood needs a bandaid and is sure to attract a crowd. :) She was happy because the bandaid was one of the characters from "Frozen." "I just love that Frozen bandaid." Following picture: Nora and Svea had their babies all cared for and laid out for naps on the couch. The one in the middle is a duck with a very large bill. Ha. 

Last picture: Miles is at the "perfect" age for wanting to always be in the middle of what other the kids are doing. Svea was burying Nora under the pillows and blankets - you can see Nora's feet sticking out - and Miles wanted to crawl under the pillows too. And that enticed Callahan to come over as well. The boys are "eye-balling" each other's motives!!  :) Svea and Nora are basically able to ignore the boys and keep on doing their play.

For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute. Next picture: Svea was at the gate yelling to Avi and Atley (who were in the Preschool Room) and she was saying, "Look at me guys, look at me guys."  Then she started walking across the room...
