Svea - 04/01/2021

Svea ate French toast and two bites of dried plums. For lunch she ate half of pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, three servings of peas, and three servings of strawberries.   

I think this first picture of Svea and Nora from yesterday is adorable. Their conversation made it even more adorable. They were discussing their features and talking about hair color and eye color. They sounded like Middle Schoolers. As you can see it was a "hands on" discussion. :) This morning Miles was crawling on top of his Sister (who was under her blanket) and Svea tried to come to Nora's rescue; "Hey! Get off my friend Nora!" Haha. 

This next picture is from yesterday afternoon. The kids have been having a blast going outside and we all love the fresh air. Now that it's officially Spring we hope the weather cooperates!! Good bye to the snow for 6 months maybe. :) All the kids are under the parachute except you can see Atley holding up the parachute and Miles is partially hidden behind Atley.

Three pictures from Science with Lauralea. I'm not gonna go into any kind of detail here, but you can read more about the Science today in Avi's Blog. The last picture here is from the kids making their "own flowers" and it was a very cool process. They have the results on their cubbies and I think you'll like how they turned out. Svea is very interested in most of our Science Time. And this is also a good time to comment on her overall adaptation to the Preschool Room. She is getting to spend more and more time out there every week. She's listening to my instructions much better than when we started and I'm happy with her progress in that area.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
