Svea - 04/09/2021

I burned the brown rice so we went with corn chex cereal along with the raisins. Svea ate corn chex and no raisins. For lunch she ate two servings of salmon, no whole wheat dinner roll, ate cauliflower, and three servings of mangoes.   

First picture: I was able to retrieve a couple of pictures from yesterday, so I'm posting one here. This was so cute watching Svea and Nora read books together in this chair in the Preschool Room. For a LONG time. I hated to interrupt them, but it was Snack Time. Lauralea and I were enjoying watching and listening to them together. 

Next picture: Svea is working on a picture that Nora brought from home - one for each of her friends to color. I'm sure you read about Nora and Avi's dispute in Avi's Blog and Svea adding her two cents worth at the end. It's well worth the read if you've not seen it.

Last picture: I'm posting this picture of Cal in Svea's Blog because it was part of their interaction. Cal had the "Baby Beluga" book and started singing it loudly. He was on tune and doing great with the words. (Having the book upside-down was having no ill effects. Ha.) Svea was in the Preschool Room doing Art at the table and immediately joined him and was singing along perfectly. They couldn't see each other and it didn't matter. It was very cool.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
