Svea - 04/30/2021

Svea ate half of her oatmeal and no baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate bites of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, tomatoes, green beans, and potatoes. She ate whole wheat dinner roll, and most of fruit cocktail.   

First picture: Linnea came back for a visit yesterday afternoon and the kids were happy to see her. It's been over a year so there were initial shy moments, but she was soon playing. Svea was very interesting when Linnea came; she really didn't say much directly to Linnea and then went off and played doing her own thing. However, this morning Svea said, "It was fun to visit Linnea." Haha. Svea actually spoke more to Momma Becca and basically "introduced" herself. "My name is Svea James Nelson and this is my sister Avi Arlo Nelson." And the Sisters started wrestling. :) 

Next picture; As soon as Svea arrived she had to check out Nora's leotard. I still love how Nora initially told me about it: "Leema-tards"  "Frozen Leema-tards" Haha. Svea was very impressed with those Leema-tards and said they were "beautiful." These two girls understand each other pretty well!!

Last picture: One BIG rule difference between the Preschool Room and Daycare Room: (besides umpteen choke-ables) "You have to pick up your activity before moving on to the next activity. Svea is totally nailing this rule. This morning she said, "Hey Gary, I'm putting this away so I can do something else." She knew I was VERY proud of her and she said, "Gary, is that how the rules go?" SO CUTE. She also heard me bragging to Lauralea about her and she got so dang proud and ran over and hugged my leg. :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute. Next picture: Svea was at the gate yelling to Avi and Atley (who were in the Preschool Room) and she was saying, "Look at me guys, look at me guys."  Then she started walking across the room...
