Svea - 05/03/2021

Svea ate half of kix cereal and half of fruit cocktail for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, toasted whole wheat sandwich thins, ate tomato, avocado, and peaches. 

Svea played the "People Matching Game" by herself this morning. So I need to explain that we "draw straws" to see who goes first. I cut 4 straws; 3 short and 1 long. Svea still wanted to draw straws even though she was the only participant! It was so funny and cute. (She came in 3rd place with the straw drawing!!) She was SOOO excited when she would get a match and she had to tell me every time. She played it to the end and got all 18 matches. She said, "I'm gonna play it again!!" 

First picture: They are twins today!! Was this planned!?! Nora saw Svea walk up on the patio this morning and got SO excited! Nora yelled, "The rabbit dress! The rabbit dress!!" :)

Next picture; Atley, Nora, and Svea were playing hide-n-seek. Nora and Svea built a pretty elaborate "hiding spot" and kept telling Atley, "we're not ready yet." So Atley just patiently waited on the other side of the room and listening to them banging around inside the changing table. Ha. She knew exactly where they were of course, but that didn't seem to hinder anyone's enthusiasm for the game.

Next picture: Cal and Svea read some books together in the chair. Previous to this Cal had already been reading for a long time. Svea had control of the book here and was "reading to him!!" And she was "demanding quietness" from him while she read!! "Be Quiet!! I'm reading!!" :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
