Svea - 05/18/2021

Svea ate half of whole wheat English muffin and ate grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate bites of pork roast, ate whole wheat toast, ate beets, and applesauce.  

We'll most likely talk about this tonight, but just in case we don't I'll mention it here: Svea went poop 2 times this morning and potty one time. Good work Svea. Yesterday; "Hey, can you watch me go potty?" Today; "Hey, can I have some privacy?" :) 

First picture: Nora joined Svea on the floor doing puzzles. Nora asked, "Does this puzzle have 48 pieces?" Yes it does and Svea's puzzle has 24 pieces. Svea loves doing the puzzles and I'll talk more about that with the last picture. 

Next picture: Svea working at the Doll House. I haven't mentioned anything about changing the Daycare Room around and moving the Doll House and Preschool Reading area. Those changes really helped get everyone engaged while I was gone and made things a bit easier for Lauralea. Today Svea stated it perfectly, "Hey Gary, Why are all these things moving some where else?!?" Haha. Then she proceeded to list EVERYTHING that we moved in the Daycare Room. Haha. "Mattress, Balance Beam, chair......."

Last picture: I love this a LOT!! Avi introduces Svea to lots of the Preschool Activities and this works so well. Side Note: There are various models of "peer tutoring" and lots of studies have shown those to be successful from Preschool through High-school. Svea, you have your own Private Tutor! :) Svea has been super interested in the various types of puzzles we have and she's pretty good at them. Quick learner. :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
