Svea - 05/19/2021

Svea ate French toast and no oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate no Whole 30 Chili with meat, peppers, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, tomato sauce, and lots of good spices. She ate whole wheat dinner roll, and ate her tropical fruit. 

Just an FYI: Svea has been in her Big Girl Undies all morning since arrival. She pooped and went pee on the potty. She said, "Thank You for giving me some BIG privacy." Haha. You're Welcome. My interpretation of that; I let her sit by herself for a long time. (Checked on her two or three times.)

First picture: Lauralea had this paper taped to the Art Cabinet when I got back and I'm not sure what she used it for, but I got some insight into what Svea was thinking about in regards to the poster. Haha. It took a minute for me to realize what she was making reference to!! It was a very random statement in my opinion!! Haha. Svea put her hands on her hips with authority and spoke to Cal with MORE authority: "Cal!! this is the last question!! You cannot have pink by yourself!! It's for everybody and not just you!!!" Hahahaha. What the heck are you talking about and then Avi helped enlighten me. :) Thanks Avilene!

Some pictures of Svea's activities this morning. She's been enjoying sorting by color like you see in first picture. Middle picture; This is the 2nd day she's worked on this activity and it's teaching her number recognition. I've started her with 1 - 5. Oops, this is actually matching shapes and learning the names of shapes. (She'd just finished the number recognition activity so I'm not gonna delete that line.) Last picture: This is a much more difficult puzzle, but with minimal amounts of help from me she worked HARD at it and stayed on task to completion.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
