Svea - 05/24/2021

Svea chose not to eat breakfast. For lunch she ate chicken with avocado, ate toasted whole wheat pita bread, cucumbers, and no pears.  

First picture - This one is left over from outside time last Friday afternoon. I always think it's so funny and cute when the smallest/youngest is the designated worker. Miles was pulling the wagon across the lawn and as soon as Svea and Cal noticed they sprinted for the wagon. "Pull Miles, Pull!!" Haha. Not successful; maybe on sidewalk, but not on the grass.

Next picture; We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and Svea was thrilled to see some new puzzles. That was the first activity she went for; puzzles!! I love how much she likes the puzzles and she challenges herself with hard ones too!! The one in the picture is not easy; there is not even a picture to go by, but she was able to complete it. Nice work Svea.

Next picture: Here's another activity Svea worked on. She followed the guide and stacked then exactly like the picture showed her. She did more activities and stayed busy. She wanted to join the big girls in a matching game and she started screaming at Nora so I had her go out to the Daycare Room to cool off. I took the last picture when she was out there and Cal had joined her on the couch reading his own book.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
