Svea 5/10/21

 

Svea ate a bite of banana and all of her cheerios at Breakfast. At lunch she ate all her strawberries, avocado and olives, several bites of pita bread and a bite of hamburger. 

I spent some time teaching her our routines for handwashing and practicing so she can wash on her own.  Then I had her go wash her hands a couple times when she had stuck her finger up her nose, in addition to washing before meals and after going potty (which she did once this morning – pee).  She then told me she needed to go wash 2 other times because she had picked her nose, even though I didn’t see her do it.  Haha! 

She was very excited when she saw the doll houses were in a little different spot in the preschool room and immediately wanted to play with the “new” doll house. 

The other thing that she was very excited about was having me “teach her” how to use the tape the “right way”.  She practiced several time and is really good at pulling it out, but struggles with getting it ripped of, so we decided I (or one of her bigger friends) would continue to do that part for her.  J 

She, Cal and Avi wanted to do playdough this morning, so we did and she spent about 15 minutes with it.  She also practiced using the fancy scissors, but I didn’t get a pictures of that – you will have to look at the real thing, since she has the art paper to take home. 

We got along great today, but she did ask “Where’s my Gary?” and “When is Gary going to come back?” a couple times. 

She was having a hard time going to sleep so I sat on the floor by her and rubbed her back for about 5 minutes and she was out like a light.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
