Svea - 06/02/2021

Svea ate half of French toast and ate strawberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground turkey, toasted whole wheat sandwich thin, ate avocado, tomatoes, and ate cherries.

One of my all-time favorite things about taking care of children; listening to them talk as they learn language. The way they formulate their sentences without proper structure is frequently hilarious and Svea does some classics. This is a pretty simple one, but it's still cute. She was putting food toys in her mouth and then Cal started putting food toys in his mouth. Of course she needed to "report" his violations to me!! "Hey Gary, Cal got MY germs on me." Haha. I think you'll survive!

First picture: You'll see in Avi's Blog a picture of her trying to coax Miles to get on her back. That wasn't happening, but Svea on the other hand was all over Sister Avi. Ha. Second picture; This sequence of events was pretty cute. Shortly after Svea arrived Miles was working hard to get Svea to do "knuckles" with him. He followed her around the room and she was getting a big kick out of it too!! It became quite the game and both of them were laughing.

Next picture; Svea doing this same activity again and like I mention every time she follows the patterns precisely. When I took this picture she was taking them off. I showed her how to carefully do it without having a wreck and so far she's never spilled one. She's very deliberate and does it exactly like I showed her and the shapes drop right into the container. (She's slowly lifting up the stick while leaning it toward the container.) Good work Svea!!

Next picture: Svea, Cal, and Miles on the teeter-totter outside. Last picture: We did bubbles and you'll also see lots of chalk work on the sidewalk when you come this afternoon. Miles and Cal did some chalk with the older kids until they started marking up stuff apart from the concrete. :)
