Svea - 06/04/2021

Svea ate brown rice and no raisins for breakfast. For lunch she ate salmon, whole wheat dinner roll, ate cauliflower, and two servings of mangoes.  

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon. Svea wasn't crying, but she was upset because she had to take a break away from the Preschool Room. (Not a big deal; she's quickly learning to follow the rules because she LOVES doing activities out there.) Anyhow, Miles knew she was feeling bad and he went over to give her a love. She rolled away from him, but it was still SO cute and sweet. The second picture is also from yesterday afternoon. I'm not exactly sure what the "game" was, but Avi was saying, "Ok now it's your turn." And then Svea or Nora would hug her. Ha. I took the picture right when both of them were giving her big loves at the same time. 

I took this next picture while Svea was playing the game "Spot It" by herself. :) It's not really a one person game - especially the way she was playing it - but it's still fun for her to find the "matches" and she loves to find "matches." She's also very content to spend significant amounts of time playing by herself. We call it "self-entertaining" and she's always done that very well. 

Last picture: This started with Svea laying on the couch and saying; "Cal, can you make me cozy?!?" Ha. Miles immediately joined in as he's heard that phrase many times and watched it being played out. They piled lots of pillows, doll blankets, and doll clothes on Svea. Then Miles started putting tools on her too. Haha. Svea yelled, "No hard toys! No hard toys!" :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute. Next picture: Svea was at the gate yelling to Avi and Atley (who were in the Preschool Room) and she was saying, "Look at me guys, look at me guys."  Then she started walking across the room...
