Svea - 06/11/2021

Svea ate bite of oatmeal and bite of dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of tilapia, bites of whole wheat elbow noodles, bites of green beans, and ate applesauce.  

First picture: The Nelson Sisters in a game of "Spot It." Atley and Nora didn't want any part of this game today so it was just these two. Atley said she didn't want to play because "Avi is too good." (And very competitive I might add!) It will be nice for Avi to get to a larger setting like Paxson so she has more options and she'll obviously encounter kids that compete on her level in various games. Oops, I forgot this is Svea's Blog!! Haha. Oh well, I'll just leave the comments about Avi. Second picture: Svea working on tracing some letters; the book happens to be upside-down, but who cares. Not Svea. :)

Next Picture: Today's Science with Lauralea was not as stimulating as Svea wanted or needed so she left the table and went to the Daycare Room. Miles was more than happy to pile pillows, stuffed animals, dress-up clothes, and all the soft stuff on her. She didn't notice when he tossed a hard animal toy on her; I was waiting for her to chew him out, but you got away with one Miles!! :)

Last picture: The Theme for Science with Lauralea today was "Birds." The Preschool kids scattered bird seed in front of the big window and then we went into the back yard and threw out some more into the corner of the yard. Miles and Svea were barefoot, but I don't think they noticed. Ha.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
