Svea - 06/28/2021

Svea said she didn't want any breakfast. She said, "I had a peanut butter & jelly sandwich" Atley said, "That sounds more like lunch. You had lunch." Avi said, "No, it was peanut butter toast." Ha. For lunch she ate two servings of ground turkey, ate toasted whole wheat sandwich thins, ate avocado, tomato, and two servings of black-raspberries.

First picture: This is the first activity that Svea did after she decided not to eat any breakfast. I always love how focused she gets on her activities and how she can really "lock-in" on what she's doing. Second picture is another example of that. She's very serious and doesn't want anyone to interfere with her important work she's doing. 

Next picture: Hey Svea, your hair looks pretty long in this picture. She was scooting after the bubbles in front of her. About every third or fourth time I asked the big girls to give Svea a chance at the bubbles too. Cal isn't here today and Miles doesn't care - he just gets on the ground and scrounges for leftovers. Haha.

Last two pictures; The kids were having fun "painting" with water this morning. They painted the sidewalk, but then started on the climbers and outside equipment. Which was kind of nice because it needs to be cleaned anyhow. Haha.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
