Svea - 06/30/2021

Svea wasn't here for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of Hearty Paleo Stew with meat, cauliflower, broccoli, sweet potatoes, green beans, tomatoes, and carrots. She ate saltines and ate bites of tropical fruit.  

We were preparing to go outside this morning and it was like 80 degrees at 10:00. I told Svea we were going out and she said, "But I didn't bring a coat." I told her "that's just fine because it's hot outside." Svea said, "That's because I didn't bring a coat." Haha. Ok, whatever you say kiddo. (You have to be pretty special to have the weather follow YOUR lead.)

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and I basically wanted to show the positioning of the children. The big girls were enjoying their game, being kind of loud and rowdy. Svea just kept reading totally ignoring it all and staying in her own world. She kind of has the ability to tune everything else out. Including me some times of course, but if I deem it's important I make my presence known! Ha. In the second picture Svea was working on her Art piece - doing some more tracing and you can see the cool designs. She likes the small details type of work.

Next picture: The kids wanted to "paint with water" again - They've been having fun with this activity outside this week - and this time I found a couple of large sponges in the garage for Miles and Cal to use. Now their clothes (the boy's clothes) are outside in the hot sun drying off while they are napping. Ha. Last picture: Back inside after outside time. Relaxing and reading a book.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
