Svea - 07/14/2021

Svea ate two servings of whole wheat toast and ate grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate no pork roast, no one had whole wheat tortillas as I forgot them in plain sight on the counter - ha, she ate no potatoes, no carrots, and ate fruit salad.  

First picture from yesterday afternoon. Svea always yells for someone to open this gate for her. So I showed her how she can easily do it herself and she was very happy about that and proud of herself. Look at her smiling face. :) She practiced over and over and couldn't wait to show Mom when Momma arrived.

Next two pictures are also from yesterday. Nora and Svea put the cozy corner rug on the top of the legos table and were laying there nice and comfy. Cal decided they needed to be covered with pillows and stuffed animals and the girls were happy with that. He'd just tossed the yellow and black dress-up bumblebee jacket you see in the corner. 

Next picture; Svea was working hard at this activity and I love how focused she gets on these various activities. It was NOT obvious to me what she was doing when I took the picture and she told me; "I'm trying to get the blues ready to put up here." She has her own unique style and system of operation. :) Last picture: Riding on the airplane with Callahan.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
