Svea - 07/23/2021

Svea ate cream of wheat cereal and all her dried plums for breakfast. For lunch she ate chicken, no brown rice, bites of broccoli, and bites of pineapple.  

Yesterday Svea told Cal to ask Miles something. I have no idea what the question was, but Cal followed instructions and asked Miles something. Miles just sat there and stared at Cal; never saying a word. Finally Cal looked at Svea and said, "He said no." Haha. Kids totally crack me up!! 

As Parents, you already know this, but you frequently have to think of context to understand what your Child is really saying!! Here's a perfect example! For the last couple of days the kids have been on a "color coffee filter" craze!! The 3 older girls always ask for "coffee filters." Well yesterday Svea asked me; "Can I do a holder cup!?!" What!?!? A coffee cup filter of course. :)

This first picture is leftover from yesterday. I just thought this was cute because it was the 3 youngest ones lined up on the airplane. The bigger kids usually use it more as a teeter-totter, but these guys are obviously out for a nice plane ride. :) Following picture; Nora taking care of her buddy Svea and putting one of Svea's socks back on. Last picture: Ok, we got that sock taken care of so now we can snuggle under the rug, suck our thumbs, and giggle. :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
