Svea - 08/16/2021

Svea ate some corn chex cereal and some peaches for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground beef topped with avocado, ate whole wheat hamburger bun, tomatoes, and two servings of mandarin oranges. 

Our Granddaughters - Story and Eden - are here this week and Svea arrived just in time to join them for breakfast. I loved how she introduced herself when she sat down. "My name is Vay Vay Nelson." So cute. In the second picture Eden was rolling Svea up like burrito. :) Lauralea took off work Monday and Tuesday and she took the girls "geo-caching" after breakfast. 

So until 11:30 Cal and Svea were the only kids here. They played together the entire time and had very minimal conflict - especially when Cal was willing to obey orders. Haha. Actually Svea was flexible as well. In the second picture she did not want to sit in the sun on the airplane. "I don't want the sun in my eyes." But she allowed him to have the shaded seat. Ha. 

Next picture: Svea yelled, "Hey Gary!! Cal found a dead roly-poly bug!" Then they argued if it was really dead or not. (It was dead.) Last picture; So that somehow led to a session of "pinky-promising" about the roly-poly bug! It made me laugh because Cal kept saying, "I pinky promise, I pinky promise, I pinky promise." I finally asked, "Hey Cal, what are you pinky-promising about!?" He said, "I don't know." Haha. Did you notice they're using their index fingers for pinky promising? :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
