Svea - 09/13/2021

Svea ate corn chex cereal and no peaches for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, most of whole wheat hamburger bun, no tomato, and ate mandarin oranges. 

First 4 Pictures: We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and the kids had lots of fun this morning and stayed very busy. Svea had put on these bracelets and Cal was apparently impressed; "You're SO strong." Haha. (I don't think that's the "look" she was going for!) Second picture: You can't see the dress she's wearing very well, but it's the one she loves in this set. And she loves the shoes too! She asked, "Can I eat in these shoes because I love them!?!" Yes you can. Then some puzzles and activities in the Preschool Room.

Next picture: Miles was in his highchair as Lunch was ready to serve, but first Svea had to attend to her business!! She has a tape measure from a Preschool Activity and she said, "Hey Gary!! Miles is that tall!!" Haha. That cracked me up. But I love how Miles is leaning in to try helping Svea - even though he didn't have a clue what she was doing.

Last picture: We were outside for awhile this morning and the kids were doing some sidewalk chalk again - thanks to Miles initiating it! (He loves the sidewalk chalk!) Anyhow Svea was drawing and told Cal, "Draw your Parents Cal! I'm drawing my Parents!" Ha.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute. Next picture: Svea was at the gate yelling to Avi and Atley (who were in the Preschool Room) and she was saying, "Look at me guys, look at me guys."  Then she started walking across the room...
