Svea - 09/27/2021

Svea ate kix cereal and no fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground turkey, whole wheat hamburger bun, tomatoes, and two servings of cherries. Svea sharing random information at breakfast: "I like unicorns, eagles, and bluebirds." Haha. "Well thank you. Does anyone else feel like sharing things they like?" :)

We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and just like I've said every two weeks for years now, "the kids stayed busy all morning." Haha. (That doesn't' seem to change so I'd say the technique has worked and been very successful!!) First picture: Svea brought a few items from home and then decided to put them back in her cubby. "I'm putting this stuff back so we don't fight over it." :) Second picture; She didn't put all of her stuff back because that's her small blanket that Cal is sitting on. She was in the middle of setting out lots of toys and Cal was basically just one of her props. Haha. "You sit right here on this soft blankie." She was getting everything arranged and said, "I'm getting ready for a birthday show." 

Last two pictures: The kids had spotted these decorations across the street - and two houses north - and I told them we'd go look at them after breakfast. Cal said, "Ok, fine with me." Haha. If you look closely they have a pretty large assortment of Halloween decorations. When we were getting ready to move on Cal said, "Gary, can we go look at more Christmas decorations?!?" That made me laugh. 

Last picture: So there's a dog laying in the window, but the kids couldn't really see it while sitting down. I don't usually let them stand up in the wagon - I don't even like looking at this picture - but they "really really really wanted to see the dog." :) I said, "It's laying on something." Svea said, "Maybe it's a couch." "And that's a very good guess Svea." We walked around the long block and stopped at the school so the kids could run. They spotted the moon as we were walking and Svea said, "It's following us." :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute. Next picture: Svea was at the gate yelling to Avi and Atley (who were in the Preschool Room) and she was saying, "Look at me guys, look at me guys."  Then she started walking across the room...
