Svea - 09/29/2021

Svea ate French toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate a bite of Hearty Paleo Stew with meat, cauliflower, broccoli, sweet potatoes, green beans, carrots, and tomatoes. She ate saltines and ate the mangoes out of the pineapple/mango. :)

Svea had Cal involved in her make-believe play and she told Cal to "go get Grandfather." So Callahan walked over to Miles - who was not involved in their play and was totally baffled by this remark - "Svea needs you Grandfather." LOL. Dang that was funny. 

This first picture is leftover from yesterday afternoon and all three kids are under the cozy corner rug; even though you can only see Cal's feet! :) Second picture: Svea said she was fixing food for her and Cal. Miles is rarely part of the make believe play - just like in above paragraph - and he's fine with that. He's usually doing his own thing and stays very busy. I make sure he has opportunity to join others in their play when he's so inclined. 

We went for a walk this morning and met "Rosie" the dog. Rosie was over the top friendly, but at least she wasn't licking the kids. She was nuzzling with her nose and super excited to see the kids. You can see the kid's body language and Svea especially did not reciprocate the excitement!! Last picture: We stopped near Meadow Hill School and the kids ran and played with rocks. There was actually a lot of activity at and around the school and we saw the Mailman, UPS Truck, Fire Truck, Ambulance, and Garbage Truck. Miles was clapping for the workers after the truck lifted the garbage bin up and dumped it. Ha.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
