Svea - 10/06/2021

Svea ate whole wheat toast and half of her grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, no brown rice, bites of cauliflower, and ate mandarin oranges.

These first two pictures are left over from yesterday afternoon playing outside. The hardest part having three on the little whale teeter-totter - two people have to share one handle and this time it's Cal and Miles. They did fine and no one ended up yelling!! :) Second picture - now the three are sharing a small space on the outdoor balance beam. Ha. Just as I took the picture Svea's Mom was driving up and that's what Miles was pointing at.

Next two pictures: Lauralea was helping sort pieces and get them laid out for Svea. This is a magnetic puzzle that is pretty challenging and one that Avi liked and worked on frequently. I was impressed (and so was Lauralea) with how hard Svea worked at it and had a fair amount of success as well. The pieces are magnetic and stick to each other - lots of small ones - so finding all the ones "hiding" is a challenge by itself. Following picture: This is another Magnetic activity and the first thing Svea had to do is lay all the pieces across the table. Ha. What you can't see in the picture: Cal is sitting in his highchair - his choice - watching Svea at work. "I wanna watch Svea." (After breakfast.)

Last picture: Svea had the pillows all laid out in a row, plus the books as well. I wasn't following the game she had them playing and I'm not sure Cal was following real well either!! Ha. It had something to do with hot lava and that's all I got! If you look closely you can see Svea is in the middle of a serious set of instructions that she's giving to Cal. Shortly after this he moved on to playing with the legos and she was not happy about that. :) I think it's cute how she frequently calls him "Callie."

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute. Next picture: Svea was at the gate yelling to Avi and Atley (who were in the Preschool Room) and she was saying, "Look at me guys, look at me guys."  Then she started walking across the room...
