Svea - 10/08/2021

Svea ate half of her oatmeal and half of her dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch she had no tilapia, no whole wheat elbow noodles, bites of green beans, and ate applesauce. Atley came right at the end of lunch and I said, "I think Svea's glad to see you Atley." Atley said, "Is that why she's talking so much!?" Haha. Yup, it sure is. Svea told Atley; "Cal said you are his best friend." (And he did say that earlier this morning.) Atley said, "Maybe it's because we have the same birthday month." Haha.

First picture from yesterday during Nap time after I was done with Blogs. Svea frequently asks me to snuggle her and it's so fun to snuggle and visit with her. I told her yesterday; "You were one of my sweetest and easiest babies ever! You were so easy to please." Her response is so typical of young "concrete thinkers." She said, "So did I say please and stuff like that?" :)

Next picture; Nora was passing out "sanitizer" to Svea and Miles and you can see Svea rubbing her arms; which made me think it was lotion or cream. Nora said, "Gary!! It's sanitizer!!" Haha. (It didn't take me long to get into trouble!! Ha.) Following picture: A neighbor boy came by with a "crawdad" and I invited him inside the gate to show the kids. He found it in the irrigation ditch nearby and he said he worked hard for it. I believe him after looking at all the mud on his shoes!! Haha.

Next picture: Svea was playing with the magnetic tray before the boys were done with breakfast and she wanted to show them what she did with the balls. Very nice work Svea. Last picture: Svea laid out the cozy corner rug for Cal and her to lay on, but then she got distracted while examining Cal's nose! Haha. She said, "Cal! You have a boogie in there!!" Haha!

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
