Svea - 10/11/2021

Svea ate corn chex cereal and no peaches for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground beef topped with avocado, ate whole wheat hamburger bun, tomatoes, and two servings of mandarin oranges. At breakfast Svea informed me; "Hey Gary! I can tell you Spanish." Haha. So cute. And she is saying Spanish words occasionally - not knowing what they mean. It's usually the numbers.

This first picture is left over from last Friday afternoon, but it was cute what she said when I asked her what all the people were doing!! She said, "Ohhhh, they're just standing in the lake looking for flowers and snakes. Haha. She cracks me up. Her imagination is so alive!!

So we did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and like always the kids had lots of fun. In this first picture Cal and Svea were chanting "Fighter Fighter" and running in circles on the mattress. I see Cal is about to lose his hat and his pants. Haha. It's never easy being a "Figher Fighter." Following picture: Svea is sorting colors, which is easy for her, but she loves this activity. AND at the same time Cal was doing some puzzles across the table and Svea was keeping an eye on him and coaching when needed. 

Last two pictures: More activities from the toy exchange. Cal and Svea were playing with the masks -  Svea has a bear mask from "Goldilocks and the three Bears" and Cal has the Woodsman's mask from "Little Red Riding Hood." Or you can go with what Cal said, "I want the Santa Claus mask." Haha. Hey Cal, you can see better when you put the eye holes over your eyes. :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
