Svea - 10/13/2021

Svea ate most of French toast and a bite of fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch she ate bites of Whole 30 Chili with meat, sweet potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and lots of spices. She ate whole wheat dinner roll, and mangoes.

I've not mentioned this recently, but we've been doing sign language occasionally and I'm pleasantly surprised how well Svea knows 25 - 30 signs including colors. When the big girls were here Svea's voice was frequently overshadowed by them as they answered the sign language questions quickly and loudly! Now it's her turn to shine and she's rocking it. Nicely done Svea.

First picture: Little Miss Cutie herself!! That's a great picture Svea and I love how you are posing. Two more pictures from this morning. Svea moves into position and invites the boys to go under the bridge! (Well maybe it was a command, but we'll call it an invite!! Ha.) Following picture: You have to look closely, but Svea has a Hard Hat in front of her and they were using it like a bucket and filling it with toys. She and Cal had a plan and Miles joined them in collecting toys.

Last picture: We did some Dot Painting and the kids enjoyed this a lot. (I'm making that judgment from listening to their remarks! Ha!) The boys were using the paints in a traditional way, while Svea was using them more like a paint brush. (Her picture is upside-down.) Miles eventually was "double-fisting" it. Ha. Both hands going up and down! Svea worked very hard to stay in the lines and I'm impressed with the end result.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
