Svea - 10/14/2021

Svea ate half of her waffle and ate mangoes/strawberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground turkey, whole wheat tortillas, bites of sweet potatoes, and ate cherries. 

These first two pictures go together and were probably taken 20 minutes apart. Cal said, "I'm blocking Miles." Ha. Miles wasn't aware of that plan and didn't care. He was too busy doing "Face Plants" on the mattress. Haha. Silly kids. Svea was not an "active" participant here. Her position was strictly an "advisory" role. Haha. Check out her face in the second picture! She said, "Cal, that's not how you do it." Haha. By that time Miles was helping build his own barricade to keep him "out" or maybe "in." I never did figure out the initial plan!! Hahaha.

Next picture: This is a pretty challenging puzzle, but she got it completed. She looked for facial features of the animals to get started. Also, she was coaching Cal with his puzzle at the same time. She was proud of herself for finishing it and said, "Hey Gary, I have a surprise for you!!" :) Following picture: They had block pieces scattered all over the place so I started building a little "room" for them; Svea called it a "castle" They had ALL the cozy stuff in there - doll blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, and the cozy corner rug - and I tried to get a picture of the three of them. But I couldn't see them from this angle so I finally said, "Hey would you guys stand up and wave at me?!?" You can see the top of Miles' head looking at Svea, but he's waving with both hands. Ha.

Next picture: This one is left over from yesterday afternoon. I was snuggling her and that's always good for a selfie!! Last picture: Have I mentioned that I LOVE Svea's imagination!! Ha. She had this toy carrot and was watching the fan. Then she started moving the carrot around and around following the fan. She said, "Hey Gary! I am controlling the fan!" Haha. So cute.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute. Next picture: Svea was at the gate yelling to Avi and Atley (who were in the Preschool Room) and she was saying, "Look at me guys, look at me guys."  Then she started walking across the room...
