Svea - 10/15/2021

Svea ate oatmeal and dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate no pork roast, ate whole wheat toast, beets, and bites of applesauce.

Svea and Cal were the only ones here this morning so it was more quiet than usual, but we had a good time. At least I did and I think they did too! Haha. First picture; The 2-sided block wall was standing from yesterday and Svea instructed Cal to push it over. He did and then they both tried to push it sideways like you see in the picture. I'd woven the blocks together pretty tightly with the other wall (on the floor) and they both pushed and pushed, but had to take it apart piece by piece. So I'm on to a 2nd career in construction. Ha. 

Svea started packing the blocks - one at a time - across the room to build something different. Cal asked, "Do you want me to help you Momma!?" Svea said, "Yes I do." Cal said, "Mama, I'm a baby." Haha. Svea said, "Yes I know." Ha. Next picture: I really like this picture of them running on the mattress; because it captures BOTH of them running!! And they look like runners!! After this picture Cal put on the "wolf mask" and Svea said, "You can't get me wolf!!"

Next picture: Cal and Svea were coloring at the table. This isn't really Cal's most favorite thing to do, but he used the markers for awhile. When I took the picture he as comparing markers; "Gary these match!!" Meanwhile Svea was busy talking about her cousins; specifically "Georgia." Last picture: Svea has done this activity several times and she's getting pretty good at following the patterns. You can see she did the "flower" at the bottom of the pattern. The pieces are held together by magnets.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
