Svea - 10/19/2021

Svea ate half of her blueberry bagel and ate 2 grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate bites of broccoli and that's all!! No shrimp, brown rice, or mixed berries.

Callahan asked me this morning if we could read books and I said, "As soon as everybody is here we'll read books." So you can probably guess what he kept asking me; "Is everybody here, Is everybody here?" Miles came; "Is everybody here?" Svea came; "Is everybody here?" Yes, but now it was breakfast time. (By the way we read LOTS of our "Special" books after breakfast!!) When Svea arrived she had no idea about the background of our discussion, BUT of course she had an opinion and it was a doozy!! She said, "Cal you are not everybody!! You are just one kid!!" And at breakfast she still felt the need to quiz him; "Cal, are you everybody!?" :)

This morning Cal said, "I am a Target Range Tiger!" Svea kept saying, "No you're not! No you're not!" She finally said, "Atley is!!" Haha. And that's true.

Here's a couple pictures with Svea and her art from this morning. In the top picture she had put on a few stickers and then she colors them. She has done that for a long time. The drawing on the picture is a "ghost." Or more specifically; She called it "A blowing ghost." :)

Next picture: Little Miss Cutie!! Svea had the jingle bells and started singing, "Jingle Bells." It was terribly cute and I giggled of course. She always says to me; "It's not funny." I think I've got her convinced that I also laugh when I think something is cute too!! "I'm only giggling because you are so stinking cute!!" Last picture: This picture is out of order; it goes with the paragraph above about reading books. The kids were sitting on the couch waiting for me to grab some books. I love Story Time and so do they!!

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
