Svea - 10/25/2021

Svea ate half of her kix cereal and no fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground turkey topped with avocado, ate whole wheat sandwich thin, tomatoes, and three servings of cherries. 

First picture: We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend so there were lots of things to choose from!! However when Svea arrived I don't think she noticed the Toy Exchange for several minutes. She was busy laying out goodies from home and showing them to Miles. :) Following picture; During breakfast Svea said, "Hey Gary! Take a picture of my flower." (In her spoon.) Ha. Yup, that's a good one!

Next picture: There are advantages to minimal competition for the Doll House accessories!! Nobody here to share the car with in this exchange. (The girls have really done well sharing it!) Following picture: Svea asked, "Can Lulu visit us today?" We haven't been visited by Lulu for a long time; although she does sit on the shelf so the kids can see her. She's kind of creepy looking when she opens her mouth; from the sideview it looks like one of the characters in the Pac-Man Game. (Released in early 1980's for the youngsters among us!! Haha!) Her singing is kinda creepy too - Gary doing his falsetto - but the kids love her!! :)

In the last picture Svea is reading a book to the boys that she brought with her. Actually it's a search and find book; not much to read! But she was showing them all the details. Miles didn't last long, but Cal was pretty interested in it and eventually he was laying on the floor facing Svea so he was looking at the book upside-down!! Haha. I told Lauralea it didn't matter because the "picture keys" were upside-down too. :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute. Next picture: Svea was at the gate yelling to Avi and Atley (who were in the Preschool Room) and she was saying, "Look at me guys, look at me guys."  Then she started walking across the room...
