Svea - 10/26/2021

Svea ate half of her waffle and half of her grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate chicken, two servings of whole wheat tortillas, two servings of corn, and ate apple slices.

As I've mentioned many times I frequently - basically daily - ask the kids what they did "last night." So today it was funny to listen to Svea quizzing Cal. "Cal, what did you do last night?" He said, "I watch the show." So she started asking about "specific" days; "What did you do yesterday?" "What did you do Friday?" "What did you do Thursday?" My favorite; "What did you do tomorrow?" Haha. He started giving silly answers to every question.

First two pictures; We got some of the more simple Preschool Activities - we'd put these away as the Kindergarten Girls mastered them and got older. Svea likes looking at the trays and experimenting with them. In the first one she is matching numbers and in the second one she's putting letters on the magnetic board and identifying the letters. She knows a few letters and will quickly learn more!!

Next picture: Cal is doing some of the puzzles from the toy and puzzle exchange and his Tutor is keeping a close eye on him. Ha. This particular puzzle has sound effects too so that adds to the enjoyment. Last picture: Cal and Svea played with the food toys for a LONG time. He was calling her "Mommy" and she was definitely playing the role. :) Svea had plates of food lined up beside him and Cal said, "Mommy I need some milk." She got him some milk. He said, "It's good; my milk is not spicy." Then, "Hey Mommy, I want more milk!" Svea said, "You cannot drink more milk because I can not get you milk all the time!!" Haha.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
