Svea - 10/29/2021

Svea ate half of her brown rice and ate raisins for breakfast. For lunch she ate most of her chicken, ate whole wheat dinner roll, bites of cauliflower, and no fruit cocktail.  

I'm including two pictures from yesterday afternoon at "Three Hills by the College." Well the first picture is actually on our way there!! What's so attractive about this place?!? So far they've not grown tired of it and ask to go frequently!! First, there is LOTS of activity (like you see in the second picture) and the kids wave at everyone. Secondly, they love collecting the rocks, leaves, and sticks. Maybe best of all there is room to run run run.

Next picture; Svea had not been here very long and she was highly offended by Cal not wanting her to "hover" over him as he was doing puzzles again. She went to the cozy corner to regroup and Miles moved right over and was repeating over and over, "Hi Svea!" "Hi Svea!" "Hi Svea!" "Hi Svea!" At Daycare Svea has rarely stayed upset for over a few minutes. See the following picture; Within 2 - 3 minutes she was reading books to Miles.

Here are some more pictures from Svea's morning: Cal was still eating breakfast and Svea got the camera ready to take a picture. Just one small problem. Notice which direction she has the camera pointed. The old fashioned way of taking a selfie!! :) Next picture: Showing off her muscles using the Tinker Toys!! Last picture; Play dough with Callahan.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
