Svea - 11/02/2021

Svea ate half of her whole wheat English muffin and ate dried plums for breakfast. For lunch she ate no chicken, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no broccoli, and ate mandarin oranges.

Svea frequently asks Alexa to play "Wrecking Ball" and as usual I'd never heard of that song or who sings it. (I did some research and now I know.) One of the lines says, "I came in like a wrecking ball" and that totally fits the standard modus operandi for kids!! On many different levels!! That song should be rewritten and become a kid's song!

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and I just thought Svea looked so cute getting cozy on the mattress while the boys were napping. Second picture; She asked if she could us the play dough toys and use them for tracing. I knew what she was asking because she's done it before. Good work Svea.

Next picture; Svea taking off Miles' socks. But there is a story behind the picture. Svea had provided water for the boys (see last picture) and she'd spilled a little bit. She wanted Miles to experience the feeling of bare feet on the water. She said, "Now put your foot here Miles." He wasn't very interested in doing that!

Next picture; Svea was setting up food for everyone and offering them food when it was ready!! I asked, "What are you feeding them?" Svea said, "It's a nut from a pine tree." Then almost immediately she said, "No no no, it's a nut from a nut tree." :) Last picture: She loves getting their water and preparing food for everyone to eat.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
