Svea - 11/10/2021
Svea ate half of her whole wheat English muffin and ate grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her pork chop serving, half of her whole wheat toast, ate beets, and applesauce.
I took this first picture shortly after Svea's arrival and Miles had not yet arrived. This is why Svea does so well in a Child Care setting: she self-entertains so well and is totally absorbed in her imaginary play!! I love it and I love how dramatic and imaginative she plays. In the second picture Svea was watching Lauralea put together a family photo poster for her Parent's Nursing Home room. Just an FYI, they are being moved to a facility in Ronan so it will be a much shorter drive for family.
Next picture: Miles arrived and immediately went for the school buses! This is his "toy exchange" day so everything was new and different! I should mention that Svea and Miles are the only kids here this morning and Svea was trying HARD to distract him - to no avail. She was saying, "Miles! Let's go to the carousel!! Miles! Let's go to the carousel!!" Following picture: Svea eventually succeeded in coaxing Miles away from the school buses - for a very short period of time I must add!! And did it by building the "boat" you see in the picture. "Miles! Do you want to ride my boat!? Miles! Do you want to ride my boat!?" ...Pause... "Miles ! Get on the boat!!" :)
Next picture; Svea and Miles were working on their Art papers at the table. Svea had drawn several dots and then was doing a "connect-the-dots." She said it was her "butterfly." Miles was watching her work very intently and started pounding with his marker to make some dots. Ha. Last picture: Svea also spent some time at the doll house and she told me; "I painted my unicorns and put them to bed." Haha. She was also using a little paint brush painting our walls.
