Svea - 11/11/2021

Svea ate no waffle and ate mango/strawberry for breakfast. For lunch she ate turkey burger, no whole wheat tortilla, no sweet potato, and ate her cherries.

I took this first picture yesterday afternoon as soon as Miles awoke from his nap. He was really curious about why Svea was napping. (She's not been feeling well and put herself down for a snooze Monday and Wednesday.) I like how his hand is out and I think I heard him introducing everyone to "Sleeping Beauty."

Yesterday afternoon Avi and Nora - along with Svea - were hiding eggs and Svea wanted to continue that this morning. So she hid eggs - 19 of them - and then coached Cal where to look. Ha. In the picture; she had eggs hidden on the top of the dress-up rack and she said. "Get up on the couch Cal." :)

Next picture: After breakfast Cal asked if he could play with the Mr Potato Heads and as you can see I have lots of accessories. I think there are 7 heads and a basket of accessories. Cal said, "This is gonna be so cool!!" Haha. So cute. The following picture is another Preschool Construction Activity and I'm not sure what it's called. Cal is learning the Preschool Rules and doing well. Probably the biggest difference is this rule; "Put away your activity before moving on to another one." He still likes to "dump and run" frequently! Haha. Like he did with the dress-up clothes this morning. :)

Next picture: This puzzle is a bit of a challenge for Cal and so Svea was coaching him along. It's great practice for color identification and number identification. Last picture; And then Svea read a couple of books to the boys. Cal was more interested in his own book.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
