Svea - 11/17/2021

Svea ate most of her whole wheat toast and most of her mangoes for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of fruit salad. She did not eat: ground beef with marinara sauce on top of whole wheat spaghetti noodles and she did not eat cauliflower.

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when Svea and Cal were holding hands and spinning and dancing around on the mattress. This morning - before Svea arrived - Cal was doing the same thing with Miles. Except this time Cal was the Leader!! Ha. Second picture; Just an FYI; Svea did a lot of this snuggling under her blanket this morning. She seemed a bit tired to me and sure enough right now while I'm doing Blogs she's laying on the couch taking a little nap. I can usually tell because it gets very quiet in the Daycare Room.

Svea and Cal were playing with some binoculars and both were looking at Miles - through the end that makes someone look far-away!! Miles was totally absorbed in playing with the legos and I don't think he ever realized he was under surveillance!! Haha.

Last picture; The kids were doing some Art at the table. Svea likes to get everything - paper, markers, pencils, stickers, etc - set up for the boys. Miles takes off the lids on the markers and knows how to get them back on; and listens for the "snap" to know it's on. Occasionally there will be a lid that's hard to get off and then Svea will help with that too.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
