Svea - 11/30/2021

Svea ate bites of whole wheat English muffin and no dried plums for breakfast. She said, "I'm just not hungry." No problem. And she got to leave with Grandma for lunch and swimming!! Cheers!!

First picture: Svea LOVES to do things like this for the other kids!! As soon as they asked for paper - Miles was asking to "color" when he was still in the breakfast highchair - Svea makes sure I know she will handle it!! AND she always does this sort of thing with some "flair!!" (her own stylishness and originality) Lauralea said Svea would make a good "Vanna White." Haha. I agree. (Check out her left arm and the tilting of her head.) 

This next picture is very typical of the art Svea does every day. Some drawing with the marker and then cutting with scissors what she has drawn. Following picture; Svea very sweetly asked Cal if she could join him in his activity. Cal worked with stringing the beads and Svea is trying to teach Cal how to follow the patterns when stacking the beads on the wooden rods. 

Next picture: The kids asked for the Play Dough and they worked hard at it. I found some Christmas cookie cutters and Svea liked doing the Gingerbread Man, Snowman, and a Star. Last picture: Svea and Food prep again!! Every day! Cal asked, "What are you doing?" Svea said, "I'm putting butter on your food because you like it!!" Haha. (Now that's typical Svea style.) Then she added - talking to no one in particular - "Cal and Miles like butter on their food." :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
