Svea - 12/01/2021

Svea ate two servings of whole wheat toast and ate grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate no pork roast, ate whole wheat tortilla, no carrots, no potatoes, and ate fruit salad. This first picture goes along with breakfast and she arranged her grapes this way and then said, "Gary, this looks like a triangle." Yes it sure does. Good spotting that Svea. Also at the breakfast table she heard the furnace fan kick on. She pointed at the heat register near the table and one in the Daycare Room and asked, "Does that heat go under ground to that heat?" Wow, great question Svea. You're the first Daycare child that's ever asked that question!! And the answer is "yes, under the floor." :)

Next picture: For several minutes Miles had been watching Svea build her "airplane." Did you spot Miles at the far end of the airplane. Right when I was taking the picture he bent over and was actually looking back between his legs - if you zoom in you can see his face - and he was saying, "Hi Hi Hi Hi." Just in case anyone notices the wet spot on the butt of his pants - that's from sitting on a grape in his highchair. Ha. Following picture; Svea built Miles a little airplane and was then monitoring his first solo flight. :)

Next picture: It was SO nice outside this morning. Felt like early Fall and not that close to winter!! Not complaining although we do need the moisture, but 60 degrees 1st day of December I'll take it!! The boys were on the airplane doing some teeter-tottering and Svea joined them and said, "And I'M the driver!!" Which surprised absolutely no one. Haha. They rode bikes, petted a dog when a nice neighbor stopped, rode in the wagons, played with cars on the race track toy, and did lots of sidewalk chalk like you see in the last picture.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
