Svea - 12/02/2021

So far today Svea has not ate anything here; other than drink her milk. So she sat on the couch while the boys ate breakfast and was listening to music. At one point she got all excited, jumped up and ran out to where I was at and said, "Gary!! This is a little boy drum!!" CUTE!! :) And like you've probably guessed it was "Little Drummer Boy." Last Christmas she would always say, "I want Little Drummer Girl!" :) 

First picture: The kids were doing some Art at the table so I brought the bowl to the table so they could watch while I mixed the meats and spices together. Then while they were eating lunch we talked about watching me mix it before it went into the oven. And surprisingly that conversation did not help Svea give it a try! Haha. (Not surprised!)

Next two pictures: Svea was working hard on this puzzle and at one point asked for my assistance. I was busy helping Cal with some stickers and so she kept trying and nailed it. She was SO proud of herself and I think I captured that when she was showing Lauralea her successful puzzle!! Look at her radiant proud face. Third picture; I was impressed with how well she did tracing around her fingers!! Kids rarely get their hand to look that uniform. And then she cut it out and she loves using the scissors and does very well with them.

Last picture: So we went on a "Field Trip" today looking for Christmas books for the kids!! The kids were delighted to be able to "travel" upstairs above the garage!! This is just one corner of many corners and there is a lot to look at. Ha. Just an FYI, we had a very large garage sale in 2013 when we downsized from a Group Home to my Family Home Program. :) Side note Miracle; We found the books I was looking for!

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
