Svea - 12/10/2021

Svea said she doesn't like cream of wheat cereal so she chose to skip breakfast. For lunch she ate a big serving of chicken and that was it. No brown rice, broccoli, or pineapple. 

Thought you might enjoy a quote from Avi and Nora during snack yesterday. They were talking about how much older they are than Svea. "When Svea is in Kindergarten we will be in 2nd grade." They went through several grades and then ended with this doozy!! Avi said, "When me and Nora are grown-up Svea will be a teenager." Ha. Maybe by the time you're "grown-up" you'll also learn how to say "Nora and I."

Speaking of yesterday afternoon, Svea and Cal were in the cozy corner and I asked her what they were doing. (I already knew.) Svea said, "We're trying to be sneaky." Ha. At least she was being truthful! She was showing him the unicorn on her panties. Ha.

First picture: Svea was reading her book - "Gingerbread Baby" - to the boys first thing this morning. Second picture: Svea was trying to coax Cal into sitting up so Miles could sit beside him. Of course he was ignoring her and making her mad. She yelled for me; "Gary! Cal will not listen to me." I was SUPER proud of her because this is what we've been working on a LOT lately. "Ask for my help instead of screaming!!" I made a big deal out of her doing it the right way and how well it all worked!! Well done!

Last picture: Svea and Cal were playing at the Doll House and Svea was hiding some of the accessories in the Doll House and Cal would look for them. They played this for probably at least 30 or more minutes! Cal was leaving early, very excited, and this helped keep him somewhat under control! Haha.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
