Svea - 12/16/2021

Svea ate most of her French toast and ate dried plums for breakfast. For lunch she ate pulled pork, whole wheat toast, peas, and 3 servings of mixed fruit; mangos and strawberries. Way to go Svea! 

Just a reminder for everyone and also for any Blog readers who may not be aware of Christmas closure plans. Little Treasures will be closed tomorrow, Friday the 17th and reopen on Monday December 27th. So the next Blog will be that Monday; 27th. So Merry Christmas everyone and Louisiana here we come!!

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when Svea apparently ran out of gas. She was in the chair beside me while I was doing Blogs and it got very quiet - which is always the first clue. Ha. I covered her legs with a doll blanket and she probably slept 1 - 1.5 hours. Second picture - Svea was working on this puzzle and Miles was at the gate saying, "Watch Vay Vay, watch Vay Vay...." Sure you can do that!!

Next picture: Svea stretching across from the balance beam to the stove/sink-top. She was saying, "Who wants to go under the bridge!?" "Who wants to go under the bridge!?" The immediate follow-up to this moment was Cal standing on top of the blue balance beam saying, "Who wants to play follow-the-leader?" "Who wants to play follow-the -leader!?" Then he tried to go down the green slide standing up and did a fairly spectacular flop and ended up partially on the mattress. So funny. I said, "Well Cal that's a pretty difficult maneuver you did for them to follow." (Humoring myself again.)

Last picture: Svea asked for Dot Painting so they got on the paint shirts and enjoyed some dot painting. Or as they call it; "Fireworks!! Fireworks!!" And it does look similar to fireworks when they hit the paper fairly firmly and dots of paint shoot from the center.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
