Svea - 01/04/2022

Svea ate two servings of toasted raisin/cinnamon English muffin and ate dried plums for breakfast. For lunch she ate no chicken, no brown rice, no broccoli, and ate her strawberries. This isn't about Svea, but I think you may like it. Cal (concerned that Miles wasn't gonna eat his chicken) said, "Meat is good for you Miles!!" So when the meal was over Miles had eaten ALL of his chicken and Cal had NO bites of his. :) Ahhh, the quandary of our humanness begins early! :) We always know what's best for everyone else.

So remember what I said yesterday about the kids playing with minimal conflict? Well this is a new day and much more typical I must add!! Haha. Especially between Miles and Cal. And so the teaching and reminding continues. However Svea has really been doing awesome asking for my help today; "Help me Gary," instead of screaming. She's starting to get that consistently and it's becoming a habit. Good work Svea. I'm super proud of you!! Especially when dealing with Miles. Conflict with Cal will be the true test and they've not had conflict yet today.

First picture: Svea doing a Preschool matching activity and some of the associations in the "matches" made her think outside the box a little bit and I was impressed how well she did. Second picture: I played another (faces) matching game with her and she won by a large margin. :) She spends so much time basking in every little victory along the way (this is NOT a bad thing) and she ends up playing SO slow. Totally hilarious. It was fun. We've played this game so much (with the older girls too) that we have names for lots of the faces on the cards; "cheesy boy, freckles, smiley face, crooked smile," etc.

Last two pictures; Svea was sharing her goodies she brought from home with the boys and Cal was enjoying playing with the "hair dryer." It doesn't blow very strong so I'm not sure Miles was aware Cal was blowing his hair! We got some batteries in it and Svea kept telling Cal to turn it off because it was gonna make the batteries go dead. Haha. Last picture; Svea told the boys, "We all have to put a hair clip in our hair." And they were totally ok with it. :) Cuteness.
