Svea - 01/05/2022

Svea chose not to eat breakfast. For lunch she ate several bites of tilapia, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no green beans, and ate several bites of applesauce.  

Next picture; Svea had arranged food on both ends of the couch, but she was clearing if all off so we could read books. Or I should say "book" as in "Frozen Book" she brought from home. The kids loved that book this morning and Miles was totally obsessed with it!! When I took this first picture here Svea was saying, "Yes Cal, I know you like eggs." Also, Svea said she didn't bring "Brownie Blanket" so I got her a replacement for it and she was satisfied. 

Next picture: There's a story behind this one! See Cal's feet on the left as he's going head-first down the slide. They were lining up and taking turns. However, Miles had just went down so he was supposed to get behind Svea, but you can see where he's at. Svea told him to get behind her and he took a step toward the mirror and crumpled to the floor face-first once again devastated. Ha. The Struggles and Trials of a Toddler.

Last picture: Two Buddies. They did several activities in the Preschool Room together with very minimal conflict. I'm impressed with how well they have been following two rules I've repeated over and over to them; "No screaming, and No hitting." However, I'm not just saying, "no," but we've replaced it with what to do instead. And they are nailing it. I'm very happy with their progress in this area at Little Treasures.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
