Svea - 01/14/2022

So far today Svea hasn't eaten anything. Breakfast: cream of wheat cereal and dried plums.  Lunch: chicken, brown rice, broccoli, pineapple. 

Just in case y'all keep hearing Christmas Songs from the kids - we're still doing Christmas songs. It started with Miles wanting to keep doing "Frosty the Snowman." So yesterday afternoon all of us went above the garage and got the Frosty book - along with more Christmas books I'd put away for the season. Then this morning -  while doing Christmas books - Svea asked about "Twelve Days of Christmas." So back up the stairs I went for that one and others!! Haha.

Here are some pictures of Svea's morning - doing the things that Svea does. :) First putting a bracelet on Miles. Second picture: She called this thing her "crystal" and she said, "I put my crystal here so nobody gets their toes stuck!" Haha. I wasn't aware of that issue!! Speaking of her Crystal; she was jumping onto the mattress and threw it - which I'd asked her NOT to do - and it hit Cal right in the head and broke in half. He didn't even whimper! But she was NOT happy about it! Third picture: Speaking of "not happy" Svea was upset because she was getting the meal all prepared for the boys and they weren't cooperating quite the way she was wanting them too! (Hard to imagine, right!?) "What's the problem Svea?" She said, "They need to come back from work when I tell them to!!" Haha. Hard not to laugh at that one! Later she was waving something above her head and told Callahan; "Cal!I'm gonna waive my Sparkle in the air and You say HI PRINCESS!!" :) And that's how she rolls.

Next picture: That's a pretty long jump for Cal!! But he makes it to the mattress every time! The older girls started moving the balance beam over to the kitchen sinks and now Svea likes to put it there as well to set the food on! Last picture; Svea was reading books to Cal and they stayed there reading for probably 20 minutes!

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
