Svea - 01/18/2022

Svea chose not to eat any breakfast; blueberry bagel and grapes. For lunch she ate brown rice covered with berry juice. No shrimp, broccoli, or mixed berries. 

Well as you all know by now Cal is not here today and will be out for the week. It was pretty quiet around here this morning, but Svea was doing her usual setting up the food. She and Miles get along just fine, but he doesn't play "with" Svea the way that Cal does. He's a bit more of a threat to just "steal" her food!! Haha. If you look closely at the last picture you'll see she's jumping and Miles is sitting on the counter raiding the food supply and Svea is kind of possessive about her food supply!! I know, hard to believe!?!

Next picture: Svea was surprised to see this lego "house" - on the right side of the picture - still intact from yesterday afternoon. I was surprised too and here's the story. Avi was building with the legos for a long time in the afternoon with Miles beside her the entire time. (She is so kind and sweet to him.) Near the end of the day Avi told me she was gonna pick up "all the legos by myself." Great, thank you! This morning I found she had stashed them all under the legos table. Haha! Made me laugh hard.

Last picture: The kids have been moving the blue balance beam away from the mattress every day now for a couple of weeks or more; just like I posted recently. Svea did it again this morning and then it was a chant of "watch me Gary! watch me Gary!" several times. As you can see by the picture she was also very intent in watching herself!! Eyes on the mirror! :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
