Svea - 01/20/2022

Svea ate French toast (a new French toast casserole) and ate dried plums for breakfast. For lunch she ate pulled pork, whole wheat toast, ate peas, and two servings of mandarin oranges. 

First picture: Svea frequently brings a bag of goodies from home and Miles was pretty excited to see what she had today! When she started pouring it out he said, "WHOA!!" :) Second picture: As soon as Miles was done looking at the goodies he said, "Me Doll House! Me Doll House! Me Doll House!" Svea said, "I will join you." Oh, that was sweet Svea. This picture was taken a few minutes later because the first thing Mile did was head for the Doll House Door Bell. :)

Next two pictures: Svea asked for the play dough and Miles was all over that too! "Me Play Dough!? Me Play Dough!?" :) Lauralea couldn't believe how long Miles and Svea worked with the play dough. She came out of her office and said, "Wow, they've been doing that for an hour." That's accurate. Part way through Svea asked if I'd exchange the play dough accessories for another basket of accessories she'd seen in the back room. Yes, of course. I'd kind of forgotten about those! So it was new all over again. :) Svea was laughing hard because she was rolling up pieces of dough - see 2 laying in front of her - and calling them, "Mama, Baby, Sister..." She said, "You're gonna love the next one!!" Following picture: I couldn't quite hear what Svea was saying to Miles - during their fun with play dough - but I do know she was trying to get him laughing again with "potty" and "poop" remarks directly related to the play dough. :)

Last picture; Similar to the "new play dough accessories" Svea asked if I'd move the mattress away from the wall so they could run around it! We haven't done this for a long time, but she talked about us doing it in the past. Again, it was something new all over again and they played here in different ways for 30 - 45 minutes.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute. Next picture: Svea was at the gate yelling to Avi and Atley (who were in the Preschool Room) and she was saying, "Look at me guys, look at me guys."  Then she started walking across the room...
