Svea - 01/21/2022

Svea ate oatmeal and no applesauce for breakfast. For lunch she ate bites of Whole 30 Chili with meat, peppers, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, spices, and tomato sauce. She ate whole wheat dinner roll, and bites of fruit cocktail. Svea was showing me her pretty dress during breakfast. She said, "I'll show you which ones - beautiful princesses - that I like." She started pointing; "This one, this one, this one, this one, and this one." Haha. She also showed Lauralea and asked which was Lauralea's favorite.

I like this first picture: It's left over from yesterday afternoon. Momma Molly knows what this is, but if you were just guessing from the picture I don't think I'd guess a "balloon." Svea had it sitting on a bowl with another bowl for a hat, topped off with an ice cream cone. She said, "Hey Gary! It's a balloon ice cream man!" I love your creative little mind Svea.

Svea was an anxious little girl this morning waiting for Momma to pick her up on the way to the airport heading for Disney World. Several times she was nervously wringing her hands. "When is my Momma gonna pick me up for the airport?!?" Next picture: Someone mentioned "airplane ride" and of course Miles is chanting, "Me Come!! Me Come!! Me Come! Me Come!" Svea said, "No, you're not gonna come." Which of course made him more insistent!! Miles; "Me Come! Me Come! Me Come!" :) The more she said, "no" the louder he got.

Next picture: Miles isn't easily distracted when it comes to eating!! Haha. Svea had one of the tape measures and was measuring his tray. Maybe she was thinking about a larger bowl for him!?! Haha. (Miles loves to eat!) He just kept on eating his oatmeal and applesauce. Last picture: Svea making sure she was looking great for the airplane trip today!! Have a wonderful time my Nelson Family!!

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
