Svea - 02/04/2022

Svea ate kix cereal and all her raisins for breakfast. She decided she wanted no Lunch: tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, green beans, and applesauce. We have a "no singing" policy during meal times. They know all the table rules and often remind me NOT to sing in the kitchen during meal times. :) At breakfast Svea randomly said, "Hey Gary! What if you said no talking at the table? Then how would we eat our food?" Well that's a funny statement, but I've no idea what it means. :)

Just an FYI for y'all - Cal and Svea were the only ones here this morning. Miles came shortly before noon. I wanted to show you in the first two pictures how Cal was using the 'bunny ears' and how Svea was using the 'bunny ears.' :) Third picture; Svea was doing her food preparation thing again and getting everything organized. She's a bit - sometimes a lot - territorial about the food toys after she arranges them. I guess Cal wanted something he could call his own because you can see he has the wallets and purses in the third picture. He was apparently laying a legal claim to them because he said, "Svea! Can you not mess with my stuff!?!" I didn't think she was very close to his stuff, but he was marking his territory. :)

Last two pictures: Svea and Cal were having a blast jumping, falling, giggling, and laughing. We did Story Time and then Svea asked Cal; "Do you want to do that funny thing again!?!" Ha. Last picture: They had Svea's necklace and were basically doing a tug-of-war with it. I cautioned them that the necklace might break, but no one cared. Ha. Svea said, "Whoever gets the necklace first gets a trophy!" Some times they take advantage of all the toys and activities here; then other times like this morning I wonder why even have an endless supply of activities and toys when they can spend all morning playing with a necklace on the mattress!?! :)
