Svea - 02/07/2022

Svea ate bites of chex cereal and no peaches for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of ground beef topped with avocado, ate two servings of toasted whole wheat sandwich thin, ate tomatoes, and two servings of mandarin oranges.

First two pictures - Svea doing what Svea always does!! Arranging the food how she wants it! Cal was pointing at the goodies and saying, "I like this, and this, and this, and this...." Svea said, "You don't like the cake?" (directly out from her elbow) Cal said, "Yes I do." Svea asked, "Why did you not point at it?" Ha!!(These two could definitely use some marriage counseling!! Ha!) Following picture: Svea had moved her food to another location and again keeping an eye on the boys. They were in "rascal mode" and tossing food off the blue balance beam. Svea said, "You guys can do that, but you can not touch my purse." :)
Next picture: Svea was being silly and covering one eye with the little spatula. More silliness in the last picture: Lots of mattress play this morning with flopping and jumping from all the kids including Nicole. For any reading this who may not know we are allowing a young pregnant mother and her three year old (Nicole) to stay with us for about 6 weeks. She and her husband live in a motor home while he follows his work around the State laying fiber optic cables. The Mother is a sister to one of our previous child care kids. Cal, Svea, and Miles have been enjoying playing with Nicole and it's gonna work fine if Friday and today are any indication!!

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
