Svea - 02/17/2022

Svea ate whole wheat English muffin and dried plums for breakfast. For lunch she had a couple bites of pulled pork, no whole wheat toast, ate a large serving of peas, and ate strawberries.

This is about Cal before Svea arrived, but I think you'll like it. Cal was the first one here today and shortly after arrival he came over and sat on the couch beside me. "WoooWeee. I'm gonna take a rest! That was a looonnnngggg week!!" Haha. And he uses the same inflection and intonation that he's heard when the adults say that. His memory for words is pretty impressive. He makes me laugh a lot and it's frequently with repeating phrases he's heard. Awesome.

Cal was so happy to see Svea. This was the first question he asked upon arrival. "Is Svea coming today?" And she was happy to see him as well. When those two have been apart for a couple of days - like the weekend - they're pretty much inseparable the first day back. You can see by all the pictures today they played various activities this morning and only had a couple of minor squabbles. Usually something like this; Cal said, "I'm gonna keep playing with this." Svea said, "I'm gonna put it away." :)

First picture: I took this picture when Svea was at the window waving bye to Grandpa Mark. She was getting a kick out of the heat from the vent blowing her dress wider. :) Second picture: The first activity she did this morning. It's a fun colorful butterfly puzzle and I liked how careful and deliberate she was when putting the pieces down.

Next picture: There's a background light with this activity and it needed batteries. I got those replaced and it was like a brand new unit to them!! Very exciting!! :) Third picture: Cal's Mr Potato Head was a "Monster" of course. Ha. Last picture: You know you're a special friend if Svea lets you stretch out "Brownie Blanket!" Not everyone gets that special privilege. :)
