Svea - 02/18/2022

Svea ate oatmeal and no apple bites for breakfast. For lunch she had no hamburger stew with meat, potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, and green beans. She ate her whole wheat dinner roll and no fruit cocktail.

  • Svea was using a doll blanket like a cape and the boys wanted to join her. Soon the boys each had a cape too. Svea said, "If you're gonna be Batman you gotta wear a cape." Probably five minutes later I heard Cal tell Svea, "Batman has to go potty!! I'm gonna tell Gary that I....uhhh.....Batman has to go potty!!"  :)
  • Svea had the boys playing some kind of game. I watched, but I had no idea!! :) Svea saw me watching and said, "We're playing a game." Cal asked, "What game are we playing?" Haha. He was obviously as much in the dark as me!!
First two pictures: So it's hard to tell if Miles is getting his eyes checked or if Nurse Svea is taking his temperature!! Haha. And in the second picture Nurse Svea is apparently listening to Cal's heart beat!! Haha. Maybe she went to Sanders County Medical School. Hey!! I'm from Sanders County so I'm allowed to say stuff like that. :) Either way the boys were totally cooperating with the Nurse.

Next picture: Svea and Cal were jumping and each were swinging 2 doll blankets and of course Miles wanted "two blankets!" "I want two blankets!" Svea "graciously" (I'm being silly and flippant here) offered her precious "Brownie Blanket" to appease Miles' and stop his pleading. She knew that the blanket is too big to swing like they were doing. See Miles struggle in picture!! Following picture: Art and puzzles at the Preschool Table. Last picture: In our Doctor toys we have some old pill bottles with the kid-proof lids. Svea convinced the boys she was totally capable of opening those bottles. Haha. Nope, they're called child-proof for a reason.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute. Next picture: Svea was at the gate yelling to Avi and Atley (who were in the Preschool Room) and she was saying, "Look at me guys, look at me guys."  Then she started walking across the room...
