Svea - 03/04/2022

Svea ate oatmeal and dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate most of her tilapia, no whole wheat elbow noodles, a couple of green beans, and some of her applesauce.

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and Avilene read at least 6 or more books to Svea; Nora sat for several and left occasionally, went to the Doll House and would return for more Story Time by Avilene. You're doing a good job reading Avi!!

Next two pictures: Hiding Eggs this morning. Svea is hiding the eggs and the 2 egg searchers are breathlessly awaiting word that's it's time to start the search. Now if you know Svea, you know she's always on "Svea Time." So let's just say the searchers are getting restless!! When I took the picture she was taking her sweet time going potty!! Haha. Second picture: However, when the search starts Svea helps out by giving VERY vidid and specific hints: "You're close Miles! You're close Cal!! Now look down Miles!! I said look down!! Right there! Right there!!" Haha.

Next picture: I could see she was "deep in thought" and very deliberate in how she was placing her legs. What are you doing Svea? "This look was in the Mulan show." (I love how she worded that.) "And I like to do it too." What do you like about it? "I just like it because the straight leg is pointed out." 

I'll let you make up your own stories for this next picture: Haha. (Cal was successful, but no, Miles did not attempt to jump over Svea.)

Last picture: The kids spotted the FedEx truck delivering packages across the street. I think the letters triggered the Alphabet song because Cal immediately started singing it loudly, over and over. This was highly irritating to Svea. Miles picked up on Svea's reaction and joined Cal in singing!! Haha. Sometimes they can solve their own issues, but not this time. Svea was in Cal's face screaming loudly for him to stop. So I had to do another intervention!! :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute. Next picture: Svea was at the gate yelling to Avi and Atley (who were in the Preschool Room) and she was saying, "Look at me guys, look at me guys."  Then she started walking across the room...
